BART Extension Price Increases

The VTA announced that the price to build the BART extension to Santa Clara will cost more than originally expected due to the rising cost of materials.

BART Silicon Valley Extension Receives $375 Million in State Funding

California has granted VTA $375 million to help fund Phase II of the BART extension into San Jose, which includes a stop in Santa Clara.

Earlier this year, the State of California awarded $375 million to the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) for its BART extension into Downtown San Jose and Santa Clara. Site of Deadly VTA Shooting Demolished

VTA has demolished Building B at the Guadalupe Light Rail Yard in San Jose, the site of the tragic shooting on May 26, 2021 that killed nine employees.
