Sunnyvale School District Begins Search for New Superintendent

The Sunnyvale School District has started its search for a new superintendent and is asking for community input in the search process.

The Sunnyvale School District Board has begun the process of hiring a new superintendent and wants the public to be a part of the search. At a special public meeting on Tuesday, March 4, the Board set a timeline for the process, with a target of having a new superintendent in place by July 1.

The Board also announced a series of public input opportunities, including an anonymous online survey on the qualities the Board should seek in a new superintendent.

The survey is one way to gather input from families, SSD staff and community members on choosing the district’s new leader. The survey is brief and is available online in English and in Spanish:

We encourage all of our educational partners to actively participate in the upcoming weeks, ensuring that the next leader of our district truly reflects the values and aspirations of our community.”
