• Mission College’s third annual Women In Leadership – Changing the World Conference. The workshops are open to the public and in the Gillmor Center from 9:45 – 11:45 a.m. RSVP at history.missioncollege.edu.
• Friday Night Live featuring Broceliande: Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara. 7 – 8:30 p.m. Free and open to the public. More info.

• Tax Prep Assistance by Tax Aid: Columbia Neighborhood Center, Sunnyvale. 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Free assistance program helping families with incomes less than $55,000 prepare income tax returns. Drop-in or appointments available.

• Reading Buddies: Sunnyvale Public Library, 4 – 5 p.m. Sunnyvale Study Buddies is a free afterschool homework help program. For children in grades 1-5 looking for help with their reading skills and language arts homework. Local teen volunteers will help younger children with reading on a first come, first served basis. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver in the library at all times. Find similar events on Sunnyvale’s website.

• Tuesdays, 7 – 8 p.m. – Racist Anonymous: St. Mark’s Episcopal Church — 1957 Pruneridge Ave., Santa Clara. RA holds weekly meetings to better understand how to confront discrimination on anything based upon outward appearance including race, gender, LGBTQ and disability among others. RA is a 12-Step program patterned after AA.
• Every second Sunday of the month – Second Sundays at Everett N. “Eddie” Souza Community Garden: 2380 Monroe St., Santa Clara. From 2 – 3 p.m., gardeners meet to share their harvests, seeds and culinary creations.
