Friday, February 7

• Opening Reception: Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara. 6 – 8 p.m. Celebrate the openings of new exhibitions. Enjoy light refreshments and a no-host cash-only bar. Free and open to the public.

• Lunar New Year Celebration: Sunnyvale Public Library. 1 – 3:30 p.m. More info.
• Campbell’s Valentine Fun Run: Campbell Park. This is a run/walk featuring a 10K, 5K, and 250-yard Kids’ Dash (ages 6 years and younger). Register: http://www.campbellca.gov/270/Valentine-Fun-Run
• Lunar New Year Celebration: Santana Row, San Jose. 1 – 3 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. santanarow.com/events/santana-row-lunar-new-year-celebration.
• California Stories Community Day: de Saisset Museum, Santa Clara University. 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Designed for guests of all ages, this community day features artmaking projects, tours, presentations, and other hands-on activities.

 

Sunday, February 9

Monday, February 10

• Make a Valentine for a Cause: Santa Clara Central Park Library. Feb. 10 – 13. Come help kids in hospitals. Help spread the Valentine’s Day joy by making a card with a sweet message for children in need. Write a card and get a button. All ages welcome. Visit the table in the Children’s Area.

 

Tuesday, February 11

• Santa Clara Unified Nutrition Services Dinner Event: Wilcox High School. 5 -6:30 p.m. Sample a variety of food the District serves at the Santa Clara Unified schools and let them know what you think. • Santa Clara Council and Authorities Concurrent Meeting: Santa Clara City Hall Council Chambers. 6 p.m.

 

Wednesday, February 12

• Music @ Noon – A Thousand Hands: Santa Clara University’s Music Recital Hall. 12 p.m. Free event.

• Community Meeting – Civic Center Concept Plan and Utility Building Project: Santa Clara City Hall Council Chambers. 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The City of Santa Clara invites you to a community meeting to discuss the Civic Center Concept Plan and Utility Building Project. The purpose of this meeting is to engage in our community and gather input to help shape future development projects.

• Tuesdays, 7 – 8 p.m. – Racist Anonymous: St. Mark’s Episcopal Church — 1957 Pruneridge Ave., Santa Clara. RA holds weekly meetings to better understand how to confront discrimination on anything based upon outward appearance including race, gender, LGBTQ and disability among others. RA is a 12-Step program patterned after AA.
• Every second Sunday of the month – Second Sundays at Everett N. “Eddie” Souza Community Garden: 2380 Monroe St., Santa Clara. From 2 – 3 p.m., gardeners meet to share their harvests, seeds and culinary creations.
