Fatal Fire at Sunnyvale Mobile Home – Updated

On Jan. 20, at approximately 9:50 pm, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety responded to the 600 block of East Weddell Drive on a report of heavy smoke and flames showing from a mobile home. Arrest Made in Sunnyvale Arson Case

Suspect John Stahl, a 38-year-old transient, was arrested in connection to many arson incidents in the City of Sunnyvale yesterday morning.

On Jan. 20, at approximately 2:20 am, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (SDPS) responded to the 800 block of South Mary Avenue on a report of trash cans burning near a residence. On Jan.13 at approximately 7:43 p.m., officers from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety responded to the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and South Eden Avenue after receiving reports of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers discovered an injured adult male lying on the roadway. The patient was provided with emergency medical care and transported to a local hospital. Arrests Made in Auto Burglary Spree

Ismael Murillo-Rodriguez and Brayan Burgos-Vargas have been arrested in connection to an auto burglary spree that included cars in Sunnyvale.

On Tuesday, Jan. 7, between the hours of 7 pm and 9 p.m., the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety received reports of 43 vehicle break-ins which occurred at numerous locations throughout the City. Sunnyvale Public Safety Officers worked closely with the victims and were able to track the suspects to the City of Oakland.
