Santa Clara County and most Bay Area counties agreed to begin the Stay-at-Home Order on December 6 and not wait for the State to enact it.

Bay Area Projected to Be Under 3-Week Stay-at-Home Order by Mid-to-Late December

The Governor said that the Bay Area may be under a Stay-at-Home Order due to lacking ICU bed capacity at hospitals. Nonessential travel is restricted.
